Selectmen minutes

1. Reviewed and dispersed mail.
2. Read and accepted minutes from the previous meeting.
3. Reviewed and signed Warrant # 15 ($35,776.46)
4. The selectmen discussed the purchase of the new heating system for the Town House.  This became necessary when it was determined that the current heating system should be replaced. The Town House Committee will oversee the purchase of a new system.
5. Discussion on the school budget vote to be held on August, 3rd at the Vienna Community building.

1. A resident was questioning her assigned address number on Klir Beck Rd. since it was an “odd” number and the other odd numbers were on the opposite side of the road. The selectmen will ask the E- 911 addressing officers to review the situation. She also had questions about the Tree Growth program and was given a copy of the Tree Growth laws.
2. Read and accepted minutes from the previous meeting; reviewed and dispersed mail.
3. Selectmen signed a pole permit form for Central Maine Power and Fairpoint Communications. The location is the Stream Rd. at the Allen Rd. intersection.
4. Selectmen discussed the RSU#9 School Budget vote to be held on Thursday, August 3rd in the Community Room. Hours: 1:00pm to 7:00 pm.
5. Selectmen learned that Roger and Laura Reville have asked to be replaced as E-911 Addressing Officers. If you are interested in this position, please call a selectmen or come to a meeting.

2. Read and accepted minutes from the previous selectmen meeting.
3. The selectmen discussed with a resident the address that has been assigned to them on the Klir Beck Road.  It is believed the correct number would be an even number..  Selectmen will discuss this with the E911 addressing officers. There was also a discussion on the Tree Growth Laws, etc.
4. The Addressing Officers, Roger and Laura Reville, have submitted their resignation. If anyone is interested in this position, please contact us.
5. The selectmen signed a pole permit for a property on the Allen Road.
6. The school budget vote will be held on August 3rd at the Vienna Community building. Vienna's share has remained unchanged for this vote.

1. Reviewed and dispersed mail; read and accepted minutes from previous meeting.
2. Received a letter from Kirk Mahoney, State Historic Preservation Officer, stating that the Klir Beck House has been officially removed from the National Register. 
3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #14— $28,484.51. 
4. The selectmen filled out and signed the Maine Department of Transportation Local Road Assistance paperwork. The town will receive $24,000 to $26,000 in 2017 which will go to the Paving Account (as voted at town meeting).
5. Chief Church reported that the bill for the rebuild of the pump on the fire engine was received and paid. The total for the bill is $13,647, which is about $3,000 less than the estimate. The truck was also inspected and pump tested—everything passed.
6. Chief Church will be getting bids for resealing the parking lot at the Community Building/Fire Station.
7. The Fire Department has applied for a grant from the (Stephen and Tabitha) King Foundation. If they receive the grant for replacement air bottles, that will enable them to get up to date on air tank certification.
8. The Fire Chief and selectmen discussed chimney cleaning and the need for insurance. Neither the chief nor selectmen have been able to find an insurance policy to cover the firefighters (and the town) in this situation; therefore, they will be unable to clean chimneys for townspeople as firefighters with town equipment. Residents are encouraged to have their chimneys cleaned by professionals, or if possible, do it themselves.
9. Selectmen signed the Bank Reconciliation report.

2. Read and accepted minutes from previous meeting. The selectmen completed (for now) abatements for the 2017 season.

3. Selectmen discussed the Winter Sand Bid. Chris will contact the list of interested contractors. Selectmen will accept bids until September 12, when they will be opened at our regular meeting.

4. A letter was received from the Main Historic Preservation Commission stating that the Klir Beck House has been submitted for removal from the National Register of Historical Sites. Sadly the majority of the house was destroyed by fire some years ago.

5. The selectmen accepted Donnie Oliver’s bid of $1550.00 to mow the town roadsides and the old town dump.
