  3. The selectmen met with Charlie Baeder, representative of Belgrade Regional Conservation about the Kennebec Highlands. They are looking into acquiring a Vienna property. There was a general discussion on the management plan of the Kennebec Highlands. Selectmen discussed the tax exemptions along with tree growth and that the state owned land is exempt from taxes. The discussion went into the abandonment of roads on the Kennebec Highland property. The roads were closed around 1992 to town maintenance but were left open to public access.
