Selectmen's Meeting - March 24, 2020

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. The selectmen updated “The Who You Going To Call?” list (a list of town officials and contact numbers for town services).
  4. The selectmen signed the off road plowing and shoveling contract for the 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023 years.
  5. The selectmen discussed a tree growth question. The tree growth paperwork has been filed.
  6. The Selectmen completed the USDA forms necessary for the Vienna Fire Department loan for the fire truck. The USDA sends forms to the town every year for the length of the loan.
  7. The selectmen received a new deed for 576 Tower Road, joining two adjoining lots.
  8. The town of Vienna received two tax transfers from the State of Maine for properties which are changing ownership.

Selectmen's Meeting - March 17, 2020

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #6 ($10,243.53).
  4. The off-road contract is continuing to be worked on and will be signed on March 24, 2020.
  5. The selectmen voted and agreed Chris Smith will be the new chair of the selectmen board.
  6. The selectmen exchanged contact information.
  7. Meeting adjourned.

Selectmen's Meeting - March 10, 2020

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Signed Winter Road Snow Removal contract with Troy Bean of Bean Trucking.
  4. The selectmen discussed putting a three-year mowing contract out to bid. This is for the Town House, Community Building, and two cemeteries. Bids will be opened April 21, at 7:00 at the selectmen’s meeting.

Selectmen's Meeting - March 3, 2020

  3. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  4. Warrant #5 ($100,598.98)
  5. The selectmen will meet Thursday to ready the Town Reports for mailing. They will go to the post office on Friday.
  6. The selectmen voted unanimously to retain Creston Gaither for updating and maintaining the town maps for 2020 (not exceed $1035).
  7. Assessing Agent John Sexton will do the pick-up work for updating the property card changes for 2020.
  8. Selectman worked on F.E.M.A. paperwork
  9. Selectmen re-appointed Dan Onion as the town of Vienna’s Health Officer for a three year term.
  10. Felicia Audet was appointed as treasurer for one year.

Selectmen's Meeting - February 11, 2020

  3. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  4. The selectmen worked on the articles for the 2020 town warrant.
  5. Selectmen discussed Budgets with the road commissioner Dan Goucher and Fire Chief Brian Church.
  6. Selectmen discussed the 2018 Audit being performed by Stephen Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins is requesting additional information and will be scheduling a visit.
  7. Kirsten Heck will be putting out the next newsletter in April.
  8. Mike Rogers from the Maine Revenue Office worked on the Sales Ration Analysis for Vienna.
  9.  Dodi will be finish up the town report this weekend. She will meet with the printer on Tuesday, the 18th– John Hagelin, Matrix Printing of Kents Hill.
