Proposed Changes to the Vienna Building Ordinance

The Town of Vienna will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to the Vienna Building Ordinance, Monday, May 1, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room (Fire Station/Community Building). The following four options will be voted on, in a Special Election, Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Community Room.

For discussion:

1. To repeal one of the two conflicting amendments to the Building Ordinance that passed on March 10, 2017:

Citizens' Petition to the Town of Vienna, Maine,Selectmen

2. A proposal to repeal the amendments (that passed on March 10, 2017) to the Building Ordinance and task the Ordinance Review Committee and other interested parties to come up with a compromise proposal of changes to be presented at next town meeting – March 2018.

3. A Citizen’s Petition has been submitted that is proposing to repeal the Building Ordinance altogether, and adopt the (previous) “Notification of Intent to Build” Ordinance:
