selectmen's meeting - March 16, 2021

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail. 1.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #6 ($12,035.90).
  4. Stan Webster turned in a Tree Growth application.
  5. Brian Church, the Fire Chief, asked about reopening the Community Room. The selectboard agreed to relook at this at the beginning of June 2021. The Fire Department/Community Room is applying for a grant in order to update the lighting to LED. The Fire Department heating system will be serviced in the next couple of weeks.

selectmen's meeting - March 2, 2021

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #5 ($87,284.56).
  4. The selectmen continued the interview of Kerry Casey for the Treasurer position. Kerry comes to the town with years of experience doing treasurer work for other towns and has a degree in business management. This is dependent on winning a write in campaign for the position. At this time, no one is running and the current treasurer is leaving the position after her appointment is finished.
  5. The selectboard conducted a Zoom to review the articles to be voted on by referendum on March 12, 2021. The Zoom meeting went well with 12 town residents, a Reporter, and the three selectpersons.
  6. The selectmen met with Kerry Casey to go over Treasurer expectations and to get to know each other more.
  7. Meeting adjourned.

selectmen's meeting - February 9, 2021

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. The Selectmen worked on the 2020 Town Report.
  4. The selectmen prepared the absentee ballots. These will be available at the Town Clerk's Office Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
  5. Sample ballots will be available on the town's website, at the post office, and will be emailed to residents who are on the Towns newsletter mailing list.
  6. Meeting adjourned.

selectmen's meeting - February 2, 2021

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting. 
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #3 ($91,271.06).
  4. Reviewed and signed Warrant #25 2020 Additions ($4,565.39).
  5. The Selectmen worked on the 2020 Town Report.
  6. Selectmen made copies of a couple property cards and sent them to realtors.
  7. Donald brought in an Article, asking the State to add carbon pricing legislation, to the Town Warrant.
  8. Received a letter from a town resident letting us know she has removed a building from her property.
  9. Meeting adjourned.

selectmen's meeting - January 26, 2021

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Town election will be Friday, March 12, 2021 at The Community Room. The town will have a public hearing via Zoom to review the articles on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.. Absentee ballots will be available on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Town Clerk/ Tax Collector's office. This is the first time the Town of Vienna will not have an in- person Town Meeting.
  4. The selectmen met with Erin Norton about the Treasurer position. The current Treasurer will be getting done after the town election in March 2021.
  5. The Selectmen worked on the 2020 Town Report.
  6. Meeting adjourned.
