Selectmen's meeting - June 8, 2021

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Received an update on the Kennebec Highlands and the purchase of the Allan Blueberry property on the Mountain Road. Allans will not be harvesting blueberries this year.
  4. Roger informed us that the Quail Hill road sign has fallen down and a culvert on the Varney road has a hole and has become a safety issue.
  5. Meeting adjourned.

Selectmen's meeting - June 1, 2021

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #11 ($93,571.90).
  4. The selectmen held a zoom meeting with residents to review the articles to be voted on Monday, 06-08-2021. The town will vote on whether or not to raise $1,500.00 for furthering the grant application for broadband and to raise $10,000.00 for the reevaluation of the town that will need to take place. This will be the 5th year of raising the funds to accumulate the amount needed to have the reevaluation completed. Two residents joined this zoom meeting.
  5. The Selectmen worked on Property Cards and Tree Growth certificates.

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. The selectmen helped Mr.Lopez with locating his septic system.
  4. The selectmen requested the webmaster post that the garbage pickup will be rescheduled Wednesday, June 2, 2021 to Thursday, June 3, 2021.
  5. The selectmen reviewed property cards which had some kind of building done over the last year.
  6. The selectmen continued the discussion of a resident’s complaint of a property owner putting personal property in the right of way.
  7. The selectmen reviewed property transfers.
  8. The selectmen reviewed the recently received and updated property maps.

  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant # 8 ($23,430.95).
  4. A resident of the Davis Road filed a complaint about another resident having a large amount of personal property in the right of way of the Davis Road.
  5. The selectmen signed the Cemetery Lot Conveyance.

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting
  3. The selectmen signed a Quit Claim Deed for property on Map #2, Lot #19. 
  4. Laura signed a grant application for the Vienna Fire Department. If the fire department receives the Ed McDonald Safety Enhancement Grant with MMA they will receive $1,500.00 toward two sets of gear.

  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #7 ($89,110.34).
  4. The selectmen signed the copy paperwork needed for article #54 which was voted on and passed by Vienna residents in March 2021.
  5. The WKLCA (high speed internet committee for Vienna) presented new information to the selectboard.
